I just joined your substack after years of listening to your podcasts. It's nice to get more of your thoughts but my fav part is finally seeing a picture of one of your dogs haha

Hi Yarrow, as we come the end of this year, I am thinking about those humans that I appreciate and how I can express that. I want to thank you for your voice in the world. Your voice and offerings in the world give me courage to speak my voice. Thank you and wishing you centered joy, inspiration and peace in 2024.

Ah Alice, your message made my day. Thank you so, so much, it really means the world to hear back from people and know that my waffles are being received so kindly. I appreciate you too and am wishing you all you're dreaming of for 2024.

I’ve been thinking so much about right-size business this past week, which is a concept I learned from your podcast. Maybe it *is* the winter beckoning me to slow down, but I’ve been feeling less pressure on myself to have it all built and figured out RIGHT NOW, and I’m actually thinking about scaling some of the stuff I’ve been doing back to just the things I enjoy the most. I appreciate you and how you model livelihood, Yarrow! I can’t make it to the Spark session, Sunday, but they sound so lovely, I’m hoping I can make a future one.

Hey Ellen, I am so happy to hear those ideas resonate and that you can give yourself permission to slow down & reconsider what you love the most. I really believe that is an incredibly sustainable & creative thing to do.

As a fellow fiber artist, I’m excited for you to get into needlework. I’m fascinated by textiles and how fabric tells us so much across time and cultures. I recently met a lacemaker who has a studio 15 min up the road from me and will start learning how to make lace from them in a few weeks. I’m excited to add another slow fiber skill to my toolbox!
